Destination
This book was born out of a desire to share with as many people as possible the beauty of the parish church of St. Michan. Buried in the North Inner City of Dublin, this church is home to fine church art and the history of a people who overcame great struggles to keep their faith alive.

Through the fine stained glass windows and the beautiful mosaics, we learn about the stories from Sacred Scripture, the Rosary and the Sacraments. The designs speak volumes to a community who did not always enjoy an education system open to all.

In spring 2010, restoration work on three of the windows was completed. While the windows were being restored, plain glass was installed in their place. It was only when the windows were reinstated that many of us came to appreciate their power. And the power lay in the teaching in each panel.

Using the background information from the few pamphlets that still exist about the church, photographs of the church as it is today and the Scriptures, we have a book which is both a history book and a prayer book.
