Saint Pio Pilgrimage to Knock on 19 September plus Triduum in Honour of Saint from 21 to 23 September
Organised by the Cursillo Community

The Cursillo Movement is a Catholic Lay Apostolate founded in Majorca, Spain in 1944 in response to people turning away from their faith. Its aim is to encourage greater commitment to our faith through a weekend encounter given by lay people and clergy. World wide, many millions of Catholics have completed the weekend programme which is known as a short course in Christianity designed to deepen a person's understanding of their faith.

Walk History

The Cursillo pilgrimage to Knock, better known as (The Walk to Knock) began in 1988. It was an organised event to celebrate the Marian Year and Cursillo 10th anniversary in the North West of Ireland. It was envisaged to be a one off event, but has since developed into a large community event over the last twenty-one years, involving pilgrims from all over the North. From the Diocese of Derry, Down and Connor, Raphoe and Dublin.
